JOB SUMMARY
The Local Number Porting (LNP) Junior is an entry-level, non-customer-facing position critical to the accurate and timely execution of all inbound and outbound number porting requests for both Saddleback Communications and Reinvent Telecom.
This role’s primary function is meticulous document review and data validation. The Junior assists the LNP Team (Specialists, Seniors, and Management) by ensuring all necessary port order documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for submission to the losing or gaining carrier. The goal is to minimize porting rejections and ensure all orders are tracked efficiently through Firm Order Confirmation (FOC).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Document Collection and Review:
- Review all port-in and port-out requests submitted by Resellers, Partners, or direct customers for completeness and adherence to internal standards.
- Proactively obtain, organize, and confirm the legibility of all required documents, including the Letter of Authorization (LOA), current phone bill copies, and the Customer Service Record (CSR).
- Data Validation and Accuracy:
- Meticulously validate that account details (e.g., account number, account holder name, service address) on the LOA precisely match the information on the current bill and/or CSR.
- Use the CSR to verify all numbers on the port order are active and correctly reflected in the current carrier’s records.
- Identify, document, and flag any missing data or discrepancies between the port request and supporting documentation.
- Process Execution:
- Accurately input validated port order information into the company’s internal LNP management system or provisioning platform.
- Assist in handling initial porting rejections (fallouts) by cross-referencing the rejection reason with source documents and preparing files for correction.
- Maintain and archive all associated documentation in the designated digital repository for audit and compliance.
- Internal LNP Team Communication:
- Communicate clearly and concisely with LNP Specialists, LNP Seniors, or the LNP Manager regarding document issues, data discrepancies, or porting challenges that require correction or further clarification before submitting the request to a carrier.
- Adhere strictly to all defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for LNP processes and internal team communication protocols.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- As entry-level position; prior experience in telecommunications, administrative support, or data entry is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic office software, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) or Google Suite, is required.
- Demonstrated accuracy and speed with data entry.
