JOB SUMMARY
The Network Engineer II oversees all WAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure, design, deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of active networking hardware. The position maintains switches, routers, and other networking hardware. The Network Engineer II maintains network security, identifying and resolving vulnerabilities and assists the Senior Engineer in designs of physical and logical layer networks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installs, maintains and monitors active networking hardware, maintaining the functionality and data integrity of networking infrastructure.
- Troubleshoots and investigates complex network and system issues.
- Works on advanced, complex technical projects.
- Designs, installs, configures, and maintains LANs, WANs, and servers, both on-prem and in the cloud.
- Administers firewalls, load balancers, DNS, DHCP, and other hardware appliances
- Administers Azure, AWS, Vmware, and other software applications.
- Procures network equipment and manages network installation tasks.
- Maximizes network performance & security through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Secure and patch systems in accordance to cybersecurity policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree of computer science, or engineering or equivalent experience. Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications a plus.
- Five (5) years of experience and extensive knowledge of networks, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
- Experience with server architecture installation and maintenance.
- Extensive Knowledge of Cisco IOS or Arista EOS.
- Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
- Five (5) years of experience performing installation, configuration, and deployment of WAN and LAN networking hardware, including the configuration and implementation of routers, switches, firewalls. and other network related hardware or software.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Linux, and Office 365.
- Demonstrated experience with several software applications and vendors. Proven knowledge of telecommunications and network infrastructure, and all Layers of the OSI Model
