New SIP Trunking Solution Reduces Microsoft Licensing Costs while Bridging Gaps in Microsoft Calling Plan for Scottsdale, Ariz., Businesses & SRPMIC Community

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. – July 13, 2022 – Saddleback Communications, a provider of world-class, fiber-based voice and data communications to business and residential customers in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC), announced today the availability of Direct Routing for the Microsoft Teams collaboration solution for businesses in Scottsdale, Ariz., and SRPMIC. Direct Routing leverages SIP Trunking technology to enable companies to make calls to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) directly from the Teams app while cutting costs and adding capabilities not available with the Microsoft Calling Plan.

“Hybrid and remote work are here to stay for many businesses, and collaboration software is a key to closing the distance and staying connected,” said Ray Napoletano, Vice President of Sales at Saddleback Communications. “Our Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams allows our customers to connect the Teams collaboration hub to the outside world, with better support, more features and a lower price point than is available from Microsoft.”

Saddleback’s Direct Routing solution is powered by Microsoft’s own Metaswitch session border controller (SBC) and integrates seamlessly with the Microsoft Phone System to enable calling functionality natively in the Teams application.

“With Saddleback’s Direct Routing solution, our customers can use Microsoft Teams without losing traditional telecom functionality, like call forwarding, call recording and account codes,” said Jeff Kramarczyk, Director of Product Management at Saddleback Communications. “Plus, we offer hybrid networking between the Microsoft Phone System and Saddleback’s cloud-based unified communications (UC) solution for calling to common-area phones, door phones and even overhead paging.”

Add-ons include internet fax, cloud contact center, international long distance and toll-free, omnichannel (chat, email, text/SMS) queuing and more.

Saddleback’s Direct Routing for Microsoft Teams solution is available immediately from Saddleback Communications as an affordable subscription service.
