JOB SUMMARY

The Accounting Clerk I – Accounts Payable maintains an efficient accounts payable function in which all vendor payments are made accurately, in a timely manner, and with all appropriate approvals. This position prepares end of year 1099’s and maintains up to day W9s for all vendors.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares and processes payments accurately and on time for amounts owed.
  • Compares invoices to purchase orders and resolves any discrepancies.
  • Works with vendors to resolve issues with payments.
  • Reconciles petty cash and accounts payable accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Replenishes general office supplies twice a month.
  • Logs all incoming mail and logs in all daily checks received.
  • Compiles electronic month end packets.
  • Carries out various scanning and filing duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in related fields is required.
  • Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of accounts payable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
